Riv's 2015 PCT, Day 59, Part 2

Day 59, Sunday, August 23, Part 2

Continued from Day 59, Part 1

Photo 6:  River in inverted pose where she couldn't find a tree to lean he legs against.

Photo 7:  beautiful mountains in late morning light

Photo 8:  River on inverted pose leaning her legs against a tree

Photo 9:  River still trying to get a photo that can conjure the feeling of all those fuzzy white seeds flying through the burn area. Here they are just about to take off. It got me to thinking how, in order to be open to the next wave that comes along, one has to be willing in some sense to leave home, let go, detach from all one has ever known.

Photo 10:   my morning water stop. I had this small lake all to myself. I would have loved to take a dip ( and add that to the "wrap up" and review of PCT experiences) but it was seriously muddy and I didn't think I would enjoy sinking calf deep into mud-- and the lake was very very shallow.

To be continued in Day 59, part 3
